Little bastage has destroyed 2 of my bird feeders, stealing the suet cake, over 3-4 weeks. Put up a stealth cam, and fingered out the culprit.

Got a new trap yesterday, loaded it with marshmallows, and he was caught this morning. He is not happy right now. I can hear it chatter in the back of my truck, must be past his bedtime. [emoji23][emoji41]

Mr. Whiskers 09-12-2019 08:56 AM

You fingered the culprit? You nasty *******!

Louis 09-12-2019 08:58 AM

Give him a permanent nap.

Jcjohnson 09-12-2019 09:00 AM

Kinda looks like he’s getting fingered out in that second pic

Mayhem 09-12-2019 09:07 AM

His face says, 'Save me Jason. save me".

steve morton 09-12-2019 09:08 AM

Reset and re-bait, probably 3 or 4 more just like that one.

Louis 09-12-2019 09:16 AM

There WILL b more. Keep re-setting and put em all to sleep

droebuck 09-12-2019 09:41 AM

He looks like he’s trying to look as harmless as possible in that second pic. You should take him out and pet him.

Johnny Dangerr 09-12-2019 09:49 AM

Catch and release into a hole of your choosing............

Jmh05 09-12-2019 09:55 AM

They are like cats that aren’t *******s if you tame them....

Buckshot-73 09-12-2019 10:14 AM

I started to, but it done peed in my truck.

Rude bastage.

Artos 09-12-2019 10:16 AM

Funny you say that.

40+ yrs. ago, we cruised the country around Whitney, and collected all we could. Add a roach clip, and sell em to our dope smokin friends for $30.

Idiots with too much money. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji41]

This is the proper ending...
If you relocate it to someone else's property, you are committing a crime. I'm just sayin'...

This and then leave out for the buzzards... no peein' in your truck... eazy-pezy ;)b

bowmansdad 09-12-2019 01:11 PM

Knock on wood, caught all of mine but have my Dukes on standby for redeployment.

MRWHITE87 09-12-2019 01:15 PM

I wouldn't trap em-the others can become trap wise if they walk by and see Jerry caught in one before you get him removed in the morning then they wont go near it. Go bait a spot (with a safe backstop), and set up a motion light, pull out the bow and pin him to the fence as a warning to his comrades.

talltexasshoote 09-12-2019 01:28 PM

Definitely not alone in the crime. You just caught the dumb one. Prepare for battle

Goldeneagle 09-12-2019 01:32 PM

I've noticed Smart has not replied. I think he is afraid of getting fingered out. :)

WyoBull 09-12-2019 01:33 PM

Where there is one, there are twenty more to take his place. Keep the traps out.

He probably broke down and tried some White Claws and is moving slow this morning. :)

Louis 09-12-2019 01:52 PM

Bought some dukes traps and got rid of 4 labor day weekend. Last one actually stood and grouped at me before the heritage rough rider 22 put him to sleep permanently. Buzzards and worms ate good that weekend. Got traps ready to go again. NO MERCY WILL B GIVEN!!!

NannySlayer 09-12-2019 02:13 PM

Go drop them off on a property about a mile to the West of your place.... you know... by the cell tower. [emoji23]

Jimeny christmas. Ordered 2 Dukes, how the hell you set these things??

Spring is so tight, I may have to use the tractor to set it.

There’s a set tool that they make but I always seem to lose it  I use a small piece of PVC pipe. The springs are indeed pretty tight at first. Catch a few corn bandits and they loosen up well. :D:D

6" piece of 3/4" PVC ...I keep 3-4 pieces in my 5 gallon buckets with all our traps. Easy easy....or I do it with my hands in a pinch. Start at 1:15. Tool works too but if I'm going to use something, the PVC is my first grab.

TMonjure 09-12-2019 09:31 PM

Need to take care of those corn theif’s proper permanent nap
