I think I'm going to get a team together for the Jan. dates in my hometown, Edna. THIS......LOOKS......BRUTAL......... I'm IN!

Redneck Archer 05-23-2011 04:02 PM

some guys from my local offroad site are talking about doing it...

alien77721 05-23-2011 04:06 PM

I'm thirty. I've done almost everything that I've wanted to do. If I'm going to die......I better get this out of the way first!

LeanMachine 05-23-2011 04:11 PM

well that looks like a lot of fun. I might think about the central tx one

arrowdynamic 05-23-2011 04:28 PM

Sounds like fun. But then, I'm pretty easily amused.
Let me know if you need another teammate.

gscout01 05-23-2011 04:37 PM

I did the warrior dash which is the like the toughmudder only easier, Id rather do the toughmudder but couldnt work it into my schedule. Anywho its a blast!!!!!!

Rebel_ 05-23-2011 04:38 PM

Nope, pretty sure I'm a pansy

reconman 05-23-2011 04:41 PM

I got nothin to prove....the people who put on this thing used to pay me to do all that stuff! ;)

1369 05-23-2011 04:41 PM

Think I'll have to see if the Pain Cave is interested in fielding a team...

Mayhem 05-23-2011 04:42 PM

TMC50 05-23-2011 06:00 PM

Good luck.

Pinkcamo14 05-23-2011 08:37 PM

My son is a Marine stationed at Miremar (sp) and he is going to complete the San Diego one next weekend. It really looks tough and he has been training hard.

Patton 05-23-2011 10:40 PM

Looks like fun!

LMiz 05-23-2011 11:40 PM

I wanna do it

Neano 05-24-2011 12:03 AM

I will be at the Central Texas one in Oct.

alien77721 05-24-2011 05:34 AM

Forming a local team. If you're in pm me. Gonna pay within 9 days. Jan 28th in Edna . $100.

chester12 05-24-2011 09:05 AM

That looks like fun.

mhbaseball 05-24-2011 09:19 AM

looks like fun...just to finish would be an accomplishment

Legdog 05-24-2011 09:27 AM

The problem I have is I'd be the guy that snapped an ankle or blew out a knee in the muck.

I'm sure it's great fun.

I have done the adventure race thing and had a blast but I'm not sure I'm ready to risk injury to see some muddy hot chicks. Hmmm, maybe I'll go with a cooler and camp chair...

then again...

W-L-F 05-24-2011 09:37 AM

WOW---think i will stay on the sidelines and watch ---

vortech347 05-24-2011 09:50 AM

For any of you that have done this just how fit do you have to be?

I'm in decent shape and am seriously considering doing the October event. That gives me 4 months to prepare.

HillCoBowHunter 05-24-2011 10:11 AM

Signed up for Jan. in Edna, on the waiting list for July in ATX!

alien77721 05-24-2011 11:16 AM

TEAM MUDD MILITIA has been formed. If you wanna join, go to www.toughmudder.com

If we get enough people, we get a discount.

As far as fitness goes, I'm going to put a regimen together to get prepared for this. Let me know if you're interested.

Cuz 05-24-2011 01:51 PM

FishnDude was in the last one! hahaha

Think it is tougher than this one??

http://www.spartanrace.com/

My wife is trying to get a 4 man team together for the dec race that should be in Glenrose, tx.

:)

Yeah, I think they might be tied into the same organization. The ToughMudder is supposed to be twice as long! If length is unimportant to you :D, then maybe the spartan race or warrior dash is suffice. ;)b

alien77721 05-24-2011 02:07 PM

BTW, for anyone wanting to join the team, the team password is 'goteam'.

I thought michelle told me the spartan was 8 miles...so the mudder would be 16:eek:

doubtful

Oh no. It varies from town to town. 10-12 miles. The one in Jan when I'm doing it is 11 miles;)b

LeanMachine 05-24-2011 04:27 PM

Talked to some friends and looks like we will either do the central texas in october or dallas next march.

you guys are crazy...that stuff is for dirt bikes!! Makes me sore just watching.

I'm w/ leggy...not worth getting hurt but I still want another enduro. Maybe a KTM or WR.

alien77721 05-24-2011 04:38 PM

Well, you only live once. I've never done anything this difficult. Figured I'd do it before I lost my nerve!

LeanMachine 05-24-2011 04:41 PM

people break bones and injure themselves all the time in every day boring life. I know, i take x-rays at an orthopedic clinic. Everyone's story sucks. If i am going to injure myself, it will be having fun an making memories!

I treated my body like a punching bag in HS football and glad I got hurt and did not get to play in college...broken hamstring saved my skeletal structure.

Still...i 'get it' cuz you can get hurt on a scooter too but that just doesn't look like near as much fun compared to riding on two wheels....but I don't have $7k to drop either.:o

..i just don't want you taking x-rays of my wife and would prefer she not do this.

she doesn't tell me to stop hunting so I'm not gonna tell her she can't do this...it is what it is.

vortech347 05-27-2011 03:10 PM

Anybody doing the event in October in Paige? I'm planning to do it and going to drag my wife kicking and screaming too.

She's a bit apprehensive after watching the videos on the site.
