    Becoming aware

My grandson is most of the way to 3yo. He doesn't talk, at least so I know what he's saying, due to a hearing issue it took a while to get worked out. However he has a way of letting you know what he wants.

Most times he is here he will see me go out to shoot. He can even be outside with my wife while I'm shooting but has never given a sideways glance.

Tonight I noticed he watched me all the way out the door. We got home late but I got in a dozen or so shots.

Coming invthe house he approached me, said something in the jibberish he speaks and stuck out his hands. For the next 10 minutes he had a blast trying to nock an arrow and pull the string. Finally with a little assistance he got one to pop off the string.

Now its on to the troll movie but before my Widow went up for the night I asked him if he wanted his own bow and arrows and I got a clear "es".

Sounds like he needs a bow of his own!

Time will tell. His dad is a video gamer. If he gets turned on to the woods and water it will be Pop who leads him there.

Need him to finish potty training though. [emoji16]

You can't start them too young

My three year old daughter shoots with me with her own little bow. Precious time. Get him one and you'll probably end up with a hunting buddy for life.

We still have a couple hanging around here from when my daughter liked to shoot.

Hard to work with him when the communication is so compromised.

I've still got some little arrows as well.

Congrats!! That's a fine looking young archer you have their Sir!! I think you will have a hunting partner for life as mentioned above once he gets his own bow...
