Otter eating American eel

Went out to Anahuac NWR yesterday and came across this scene on the Shoveler Pond.

This otter was chowing down.

The absolute coolest thing about photography to me are situations such as this, being in the right place at the right time! Awesome pixels Bill!;)b

Thanks Chad and I was. I normally cruise the Shoveler Pond once but there was alot going on so I went twice and caught this the second go round.

Sweet! Your new lens sure seems to play nice with the 1.4x teleconverter! 700mm at f/5.6 and the 7D's 1.6 crop factor. A guy could get jealous! :)

Ya just gotta be in the right place at the right time with camera in-hand sometimes. You could have set up there and next month you would still not have gotten that pic--

Good one.
