Drought 2011-make lemonade from lemons.
Morning folks.

Everyone knows how bad it was. I lost 1000's of trees. I harvested what I could for use.

Lately I decided to redo some buck knives. These are the results...

Buck 110 and 112 set. Post oak scales, rear bolster removed, buffalo horn accent and a post oak landing net.

Eastern red cedar 110, S30V, NS and buffalo.

ERC 112 brass and buffalo.

Glad to see they are being put to use. Pretty panels.

These porch rails also came out of the drought. I had treated 4X but wanted something more rustic. They are also ERC. I had to turn the Bottoms into 4X4 so they would fit in the existing holes. This pic was before I trimmed and sculpted the tops.

Thanks! Still more to come...

Here are some Post Oak slab benches with different legs.

Kossetx 05-11-2018 03:59 PM

And some cedar benches... 8' long but much lighter than the PO benches. I have since split the termite blocks, half under each foot. I have 11 of these scattered around.

I don't ever want to go through that drought again but it did give me something to do. :)
