    Trophy water moccasin !!!

I was fishing last week with a buddy of mine at a lake near Burnet and came across this bad boy swimming across the lake. The lake was calm and the thing was so big you could see the ripples it was making swimming in the water 100 yds away.I have bow fished for 50 + years so I have seen my share of moccasins(a big one might be 3 ft) but never one this size.

I did not have a tape to measure him and regretfully I did not keep him.I already had a few snakes in the freezer and at the moment I did not want to fool with it.

The biggest one I've ever seen was swimming across east Galveston bay years back, it was unbelievable the size of that cotton mouth.

That poor little devil. He was an old survivor. Should have let him live

62" is the record for the Western Cottonmouth. I'd say that one had been around the block a time or two.
