Drove down a bike path, ran down a bunch of people, exits vehicle with "imitation firearms" and is shot by police.

Suspect in custody, apparently still alive. Good guys with guns using them to stop bad guys.

This still comes back to the US having a improved vetting process for people wanting to come here.
Islamic Males have been the actors in these styles of attacks.
