I was fortunate enought to be invited to go huntin on this place this past weekend. I was not too sure what to expect but I can tell you that everything exceeded my expectations. The lodging was nice (I would not hesitate to take my wife), the guides were good, stands were comfortable (mostly tripods) and the animals were VERY nice. The property is beautiful bottom land. You can tell that Mr. Tallent is not scared to spend money to make his property 1st class!They have some very nice food plots and a large hay field.
We saw some huge Axis, Blackbucks and Hogs. If you want either one of these I would suggest booking a hunt soon. There are some thumpers there right now. I had a blackbuck that I saw about 22" at 17yds but could not get a shot because of some tree limbs. It was spooked by pig. Had him again at 32yds a couple hunts later but he spooked again.
I ended up shooting a Texas Dall. I now have 2 of 4 for the slam.
Timmy and Steve did a good job and I am sure they had fun too!
