Need help finding a Labrador Retriever

Alright need a little help guys. My FIL is 75 and has always had a lab by his side over the years to ride with him while he feeds his cows and lay by his feet while he watches gun smoke re-runs[emoji41]

Unfortunately he lost his last one earlier this year and hasn’t had the heart to get himself another.

Well he’s finally decided he’s ready for another dog, but at his age dealing with a puppy is just too much. So we’re looking for a trained or even just middle aged lab for him. We’ve looked at the different lab rescue organizations and haven’t had much luck. So if y’all have any other suggestions I’d appreciate them. Also we’re more than willing to pay for a started dog, just don’t need a high strung machine.....

Thanks for the suggestion, we tried this however due to the in-laws living over an hour and a half from Dallas it’ll make the required home studies pretty much impossible.

I have a PM into a person on Texas labs only that has a started lab to regime.

Thanks for the suggestion, we tried this however due to the in-laws living over an hour and a half from Dallas it’ll make the required home studies pretty much impossible.

My wife worked with a local boxer rescue and she did a home visit for another boxer rescue in Houston for a family here id DFW. Maybe they could ask a local to your parents to check them out.

Tons of Facebook groups out there where they sell hunting dogs, i have seen some posts from kennels offering started dogs that don’t make the cut as a gun dog but are obedience trained or as stated above, some dogs that are retired from breeding programs.

AKC Labrador pups excellent pedigree
I have an all yellow litter of AKC labrador puppies that are from British lines there are 3 girls and four boys available (only 3 boys left). Both sire and dam have excellent pedigrees with GMHRCH in sires pedigree and and Retriever Champions in dams pedigree. They will be ready January 12, 2020. So for those that want to plan for Christmas and after all the holiday travelers are over. They will come with first puppy shot, wormings and Health guarantee. A small deposit of $100 will hold them till ready and I can do some Christmas photo shoots if you want to do a framed portrait as a Christmas gift until puppy is ready. $600 each 832-474-1058
