    Crossbow

Do not know much about crossbows. My brother bought one and arrows are flying hardcore nock high. Is there anything you can do to fix this?

Check for vane contact, if it isn't this then there's probably not much you can do. Make sure he is holding steady and not flinching at the shot, maybe put it in a bench rest or vise.

Getting the timing right is essential to accuracy for crossbows, this will show up in left/right impacts from a fletched POI. This is similar to bareshaft tuning a regular bow and/or broadhead tuning except with crossbows we adjust left right impacts by adjusting the timing of the cams to move the bareshaft to the impact point of the fletched or broadhead equipped arrow.

Make sure the string is being hauled back the same each time, put marks on the string for indexing, or use different colored serving.

With a rail driven arrow, there isn't much that can be done for tail high condition; best bet is to make it as accurate as possible using the above mentioned technique.

Thanks for the response. Its only a tail high flight. It doesn't appear the fletching is hitting anything but ill use powder to verify. When latched, the string is held slightly off the rail above centerline on the nock, by a small amount. I assume the string drops slightly and then travels down the rail with contact the entire time.

His groups are very good, about 1-2" at 30yds with field tips and 3" with fixed broadheads, no broadhead tuning. The broadheads hit 8" low at 30.
