Help with ideas for family weekend activites.

Wife wants to get out and do more as a family. Any ideas on things to get out and do as a family on a weekend? Already looking into Scarborough fair. Gonna go hike cleburne state park and mineral wells state park. Anything else fun and not super expensive?

A weekend visit to various Texas History sights and old forts. Lots of old forts/settlements in Texas. Kinda of a self tour thing over several weekends.

Japanese Gardens in Forest Park makes a nice Sunday afternoon tour for a couple of hours.



Paintball parks are always a big hit with the kids provided Mom and Dad play too.
Sometimes you just gotta take a shot/be shot.


Casa Manana: buy some tickets to various plays. Can be very educational and enriching for young people.



Almost every town or city has a museum of some kind.


There are all kinds of educational classes where families participate and learn together with various subjects from the outdoors to sciences, and the arts.

Yeah Mike. We will probably take some weekend day trips to historical sights. But like I said my daughter has a horrible case of the terrible 14's and doesn't like anything but YouTube. Lol. Just need to get her out of her dang room more.
