I was thinking the other day about how people look down upon life insurance like it’s a bad thing. That made me want to pole the GS and see what the majority answer is. Thanks for playing.

The type of policy isn't as important as making sure there is one in place when you die.

Same here, I'm worth $800k dead! Now some of that goes to my business but there's a lot for my family as well... Wife thinks I'm only worth $50k dead, get my point

Edit* I want to make sure my family business and family are taken care of if something happens to me. I don't want my wife to worry about money for our family long after I am gone.

I have enough coverage on myself to protect my family's lifestyle if I should pass. My advisor did recommend I get a smaller policy on my wife and son.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I am worth more to my wife and dog dead, than alive. It will be enough to refinance the mortgage, and have a easy time paying the mortgage and everything else once she rids of all my worldly possessions.

The wife and I are letting our large ones go. The house is paid for and kids are through with college and out on their own.
