Well, my granddaughter got her first buck last Sunday morning and I was very proud of her. Well, this afternoon, her little brother got his first deer ever at age 7. It was kinda ugly, but the deer was retrieved and will provide many good meals and years of memories and stories.
This big spike has been on my hit list and I told him to take him out if he got the chance. My son took the grandson
back for a sit this afternoon and about 5:15, the target came out to help himself to a belly full of corn. I wasn’t there to witness the show, but I’m told that it took a little while to get the shot off because he was so nervous. He finally made the shot, and after trailing for a short distance, the deer was retrieved. The smiles are priceless and the memories made will last a lifetime. I’m very proud of both of my kids.
