Heck yeah! They do pretty good with pigs to about 30 yards. You won’t have any problem with a 2 legged critter inside or around the house.

At indoor ranges (for the average house anyway) any size shot will be brutal

Find one of those human silhouette targets and shoot it from 15yds

The real + is most people can shoot it more accurately than a pistol... and it aint gota be buckshot..any shot size will shred the *******..at 15y

I overheard the guy at the academy gun counter the other day tell someone that when you rack a shotgun you won’t even need to have it loaded because the guy will run away. And if you do shoot, you don’t even have to aim with those bad boys. You can pull it up to your hip and fire and everything in front of you will be dead all the way across the house. But it won’t go through walls. So yeah. You should be good.

All depends on how much you feel your at risk. It would definitely stop or deter an unarmed man, but I would be more comfortable spending $20 on something that may stopped an armed person faster.

Better use steel shot. Badguy could sue you for lead poisoning if he survives.
