    Oak tree identification

I think it's a southern live oak. Any experts out there to confirm my thoughts ? Also would it be good for bbq wood ?

Hard to tell from the leaf cluster in the pics, but it might be an oak hybrid.

I had been wondering about some of the oaks in my area recently, mainly because it seems the oaks at my home in Montgomery county are dropping a crap ton of acorns but my hunt lease oaks are not. Wanted to see what the difference was and found an A&M website that seemed helpful.

The link below looks a little like what your leaves look like.....Maybe??

Southern live oak is a good guess.
It's kind of hard to tell from that pic, but that looks most likely to me.
Mexican white oak (monterrey oak) was another guess, but the leaves look a little too small and waxy for that.
