College Station Ford “service” is a joke!

Well, it was the first and last time I get my diesel serviced at College Station Ford! I go in for “The Works”, full synthetic and replace the fuel filter. Advertised price was just under $200 for synthetic and I knew this. When it was all said and done, they charged me over double that ($453)

! Said there were additional fees for the filters because it is not a Ford. Guess who is performing their own servicing from here on out?!.

I feel “violated” and I did not even get to enjoy it! Live and learn...

    ***UPDATE***

My K&N air filter arrived today so I went out to install it only to find all three retaining screws for the air filter were backed COMPLETELY out! If that were not bad enough the asshats did NOT even put my old air filter back! I have been running around without a fricken filter AND the oil level was just shy of 2 quarts low! CS Ford has lost a customer for life and I am going to do my dead Level best to make sure everyone knows what kind of “service” to expect from them!!!

Dont blame you one bit. Merchants get one shot at pleasing me. Screw that one shot up and you will never see me again.

That blows. I would do the service myself on our truck but it takes too much oil. So for me it is worth the money to pay the Ram dealer to service it. It would be my luck if I were to take it to a different dealer then they would mess up bad in some way, much like they did with yours.

Had a bad experience years ago trying to buy a truck from them, salesmen at their finest.

maybe its just me but I would never go to a dealer for an oil change if i expected a decent price.

To add insult to injury, when I got in the truck to leave, the “tech” did not follow my instructions on what air pressure I wanted to run. 73#’s were in all four so I backed up and told him to put 80#’s in front and 64#’s in the rear (not towing for a few weeks). He messed with all four tires then I get in the truck to leave and he had put 65#’s in the front and 82#’s in the rear 🤬 I backed up yet again and fixed it myself!

You talk to the service manager? Sounds like a genius working on your truck. Wonder if he even got the right oil in it?!

Oh good grief! I decided to do a full walk around of the truck considering all that has happened and I discovered a puddle under the rear diff. I crawled under the truck to discover the water drain petcock was cracked open and fuel dripping out! This would be why it took a little over 1/4 tank (8 gallons or so) to go 63 miles 🤬

I did just receive a call back from him. No excuses were given and he asked what he could do to make it right. I told him to use my experience as a learning/teaching moment and that there is nothing he can do to make it right and that I will not be doing business with them anymore.

Just curious, but why would you go to a Ford dealer for service on a Dodge?

They perform service on all makes and models plus the local Dodge dealer has done me very wrong in the past and I will not give them any of my business. Oh, and the dealer I purchased the truck from is about an hour away.

So he offered to make it right and you didnt take him up on the offer? You didn't get anything out of the deal, after all that they did or didnt do to your truck?

Why would anyone go to a dealership ( stealership) for basic routine service or frankly any service is beyond me.
Their prices are double or triple an independent shop

I cringe when I am FORCED to go to a dealership for a part
