    Leather work around tomball area

Looking for someone that can do some tooling and a monogram on the pocket flaps of a leather saddle bag as well as sew on a knife scabbard and possibly a pistol mag scabbard onto the bag. Kind of time sensitive and need it in the next few weeks.

    Thanks

Here is the saddle bag. Looking to get tooling done around the perimeter of the flaps and add scabbards above the bags. Then I’d like to add the D monogram below in the middle of the flap. This is a gift for one of my best friends that is the best man in my wedding in June. The D with a cross is his ranch brand.

Since the saddle bags are already colored you may have a hard time finding anyone to tool it. The leather has to be wet to tool it and that could cause problems with the color. And if the leather is not veg tanned it will not tool well.

                I would touch it.

                Good luck

Agree with Jerry, except "wouldn't " touch it is probably what he meant. Already dyed and finished. Too much risk.

                    Exactly ^^

It could be "scribed" into the leather, but not tooled. (small cuts to appear as lettering or a brand) or even burned into the leather but tooling will not work on anything that has already been dyed and sealed.

Yep that was a typo I tried to edit but it was too late.
