    Crazy idea for ranch ride.

I am now pondering vehicles such as the Chevy Sprint, Mitsubishi Mirage and like vehicles with 4 doors. Seem to be cheap with AC/Heat working. I do not think it would be hard to fit ATV tires on it and a cheap winch front/rear. Most of our roads are easily passible in 2wd on the trucks. Much quieter than the utv;s. Thoughts?

Ive seen front wheel drive cars as ranch rigs a bunch...even one with the back half cut off, like a sled with front tires. They seem to work well outside of big mud.

Throw the tracker/sidekick in the mix.

        I'd look for a $2500 4Runner.

I’ve always liked this idea. You can pick up a beater for $200 or so.

Google ecomudder. A guy did that with a geo metro.

I also new a guy that used one for a farm buggy. Took out back window, said in all of his use it never got stuck.

I have a suzuki sx4 I drive back and forth to Dallas. Cheap car but good gas mileage, and the 4 wheel drive is awesome for what it is. I've put it through 160,000 miles of hell, and it's never had a hiccup.
This isn't mine but same car.

If you don't need serious 4wd go for it. Imagine rolling up to your stand in a $800 ride you drove to the lease with heater and A/C as your buddies are loading up to head out in the freezing rain in their $16,000 SXS. You can flip them the bird on the way by hollering "suck it, bizznitches" !

I met a local farmer /rancher out in a pasture when I delivered a$100,000 tractor. He drove across the pasture in his Lexus. He handed me a check and jumped i the tractor and went to work.
