    Standing Water

I’m in the process of building a house and looking for a reliable pump to clear some low spots to finish our driveway. I’ve looked online at tractor supply and harbor freight. I just don’t know if it is something I would unused again if I bought it. Does anyone rent these? Or does someone have one around Baytown I can borrow?

    Thanks

How deep are the holes. I have a 2” pump, but would have to see if I could get it running. It’s been a while since I have used it. It would need to be a enough water to keep it primed.

You can rent them from any equipment rental place. Small electric or larger gas operated.

Go find a Herc, used to be Hertz, or United Rentals and rent an air powered diaphragm pump. This way you can run it dry without worrying about ruining it. A small one could be operated from a full-sized home air compressor. Or if you want to go big, rent a compressor from them too.

Establish drainage to divert water away from the driveway and the house pad. If water naturally crosses the driveway area now you may have to install a culvert to prevent water from standing next to the base material.
