    Big Feeder Lid ideas

I'm trying to figure out a way to fabricate a lid for Tylers Big Protein feeder. I have a 4'x4' sheet of .063 aluminum to use. It needs to be 35 1/2" diameter with at least a 3" lip around the edge. Now I can take it to the shop and weld it but is there a way to form it with out any seams?

Would using a 36" diameter water heater pan be easier? Lip on the ones we used were 3"-4". They are like $20-$25.

Where do you get them? HD/Lowes don't show any online.

We bought ours from Lowes. I have also seen them at Ace Hardware. Let me see if I can find any online.

Seems like a good idea. I just wonder how they will hold up to the sun.

We painted ours black. I believe I have had this feeder going for 15 yrs now. Has dents from hail storm a few years ago. Have repainted every couple years just because I don't like seeing a shiny silver lid!

Drain hole works as a tie down. Drill another hole on opposite side and bungee.

$40 here. Lowe's and Ace don't carry up to 36" anymore.
