    Burnside Carbine value?

I know it is was used in the civil war, but that is about all I know about it. I got it in an inheritance.

I was thinking of listing it on Gunbroker, but I don't know what a true realistic price should be. Most of the people who list items on there are way over priced and seem to never sell.

Someone with a Blue Book will chime in shortly--and condition is very important.

It is defiantly not a safe queen, it has been used.
But the action works, the bore looks smooth, and the metal is in decent condition. The main flaws would be, the stock has some fine cracks in it.

Condition and Documentation are very important. Recent actual sales on Gunbroker $2650 to $375.

Even if you posted pics it would be difficult for most to guess the value. If you have records tying the rifle to the Civil War it greatly enhances it.

Sign up on gunbroker and look at the completed auctions. Compare those guns to yours. That would be your best guess outside of finding a experienced appraiser.

That is what I will probably do then.
