Dang my 16 averages 14 and best on highway is 18 but mostly around 16-17 on highway. But mine is a work truck with 3.73 gears and a replacement bumper

I've got 3000 miles on my 17 with same new Duramax and I'm getting the same. It's very nice especially compared to the 16 f250 lemon I drove before.

I just traded in a 2015 f350 I liked the truck but it spent way too many hrs in the shop

I know the feeling, mine couldn't pass a shop or a diesel pump. I don't like buying first year engines, but I really like the new truck.

                  My 2008 gets 14 mpg. But it's a beast. I love it.

I used to get 18-19 with my '89 GMC 2500. That was over 100k ago. Now I get about 15-16 with 272K on the gas motor that's never been rebuilt.

My daily driver is an 87 and I don't think I've ever seen over 10 in it.

Not really a fair comparison between pre- and post-emissions diesel trucks. When you look at objectively, a post-emission truck getting almost 20 mpg could arguably be much more efficient than the pre-emissions trucks with near 20 mpg.
