    Advise from land barons

I currently live in san Antonio and I'm in the position now to purchase some land mainly for hunting and later on retirement once the time comes. I've been looking at property in the Menard area, Rocksprings area and Comstock area. The properties range from 15 to 20ac at $3600/ac in the Menard area, 20 to 30ac at $2600/ac in the Rocksprings area and 40 to 80ac at $850/ac in the Comstock area. If any of you guys or gals own properties near the areas mentioned above can you give me any insight as to why you chose that particular area over another. I'm a noob when it comes the purchasing land and I'm having a difficult time deciding where to purchase. Do I go more central texas with less land or do I go further west with more land, but run the risk of possible illegal immigrant activities. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Don't get one without a proper easement and water supply.

Hey I’m looking into the same thing, I’m leaning toward Comstock because of the acreage. But I would like to have more trees and water availability in the central areas of Texas . I’ll be following this

Lots of sheep and goats in those areas. Be ready to put up cattle panels around your feeders if your neighbors have em.
