Not one of the Hagerman Hunter's this weekend, but I drove in and around hagerman today for a couple of hours. Saw a lot of doe out browsing, but not one buck. Stalked up to within less than 5 yards of this one with my truck.

Trying to figure it out.... saw a big 10 chasing doe about 2 weeks ago on a game cam video. Other than that, nothing but a small buck walking with his nose on the ground.
I hunted yesterday and today from 6am to 1pm - Fair amount of movement, but didn't see any big bucks. I've got pics of some big bucks showing up mid-day Tues & Wed of this week.
I also watched some small bucks chase after a doe that had a yearling and she wasn't ready, so it's getting close.

All the old threads on TB and my trail cam pics from the past leads up to say rut in Grayson is around 27th to 5th, but that's my information and others may disagree.

Well hell, if that’s the case I’d rather go next week

Those are my dates, from 20+ years experience hunting here. I don't care if you call it rut, post rut, secondary rut, or whatever, those are traditionally the dates when I have the most mature bucks on camera in the daylight with does.
It’s been slow,I have been in Gordonville since Wednesday. I have 12 camera going on 1000 acreas and activity has actually slowed down. I have been seeing deer but the big ones are still in hiding. Just young deer chasing some.
