One night in DFW... what to do?

Wife and I have decided to go to the Astros vs Rangers day game Wednesday and are looking for suggestions for something to do afterwards. She’s never been to DFW and I’ve only been once. We haven’t booked our hotel yet so we’ll stay wherever we go after the game. She said to ask the green screen since everything we’ve done that has been recommended here has been a Home Run.
    Thanks in advance

Eat @ Reatta in Fort Worth. Bring a big appetite! If $ is not an issue - stay in that same area (Renaissance Worthington) or wing it and go stay in the Stockyards Hotel. You wont regret either.

Go to either downtown Ft Worth (sundance square), The Stockyards, or West 7th.

I would do the Stockyards and look for some live tunes, or West 7th and do the same. West 7th is a lot more trendy, obviously Stockyards are a throwback historic district....both have many bars.

Nothing worth doing here. I'll take those tickets off your hands for you.

We were looking at the stockyards area and also thought about checking out the breweries in new ellum. Whatever we do we’ll keep it casual, this was a complete spur of the moment kind of thing.
          Thanks Kyle and Dale

Tickets were surprisingly cheap, I think my wife said they were $7 or something for lower section.

If you like the brewery scene I would check out Trinity Groves for dinner and then make some rounds at about 3-4 breweries that are down there for after. Omni is a cool hotel. Uber to and from isnt bad at all.

Id do that or Klyde Warren Park and Savor. Great scene there if you prefer Dallas area.

You can do the Stockyards, and then head downtown to get some drinks or food. Reata is great for a little nicer occasion, but they do have a rooftop bar that’s a little more laid back. If you’re looking for more of a sports bar theme, go to Reservoir on Foch Street. It’s off of 7th. Great atmosphere, good drinks, and a really good menu. If you’d like to stay at a nice hotel, the Omni is fantastic. They usually have a Groupon or something for a little cheaper.

Oh, and there are a few breweries in Ft. Worth that have live music and free drinks with the tour purchase. Rahr Brewery is a good time.

Thanks fellas, finishing up the game now. We are going to check out the Rahr brewery then on to the stockyards.

H3 Ranch has a pretty good steak, walk across the street and have a beer at The Maverick while your wife shops. You just kinda have to listen for the live tunes, or ask a bartender. Don't let the Cattlemans sign fool you, eat somewhere else.

Edit:This all pertains to the stockyards.
