    2017 Dallas Cowboys season thread....

Better late than never! It's that time of year again folks!! The boys are back in Oxnard hoping to improve on their season next year

Cowboys sign Lael Collins to a 2 year deal to play right tackle. Let's hope he is the real deal there and can stay healthy. Glad they got him signed though

Lucky Whitehead....He Gone! No more getting knocked 5 yards backwards on kick off return tackles while the dreads stay at the initial point of contact!

    Defense Defense Defense......please come together

Here's to hoping for a great season for America's Team..

If they can stay out of jail, I think they'll make a decent run into the playoffs this year.

          N-O-Cent!

Thanks for starting this Jason.....the Texan fans don't have anywhere else to vent!
          J. Smith is looking good. It'll be interesting to see if he continues to improve.

It's reported that the charges against Lucky Whitehead have been dropped. Maybe they'll rehire him?

No, he was gone anyway. That just made it easier for the brass!

Lucky was a scapegoat just to save some face with the organization. Too much negative press on their players actions. I heard an interview this am where Garret (i believe) was quoted saying "this was the best decision of the team and hope he find success elsewhere" immediately after hearing Lucky was right and was not involved with the crime he was accused.

Garrett already said that they will not be reinstating him. they are standing by their original decision

A scapegoat? Hell he was just a stinkin goat. Reports are that he was always late and dozed in meetings. He was getting cut anyway with the addition of Switzer.
It's no secret why they drafter him.

It is funny that he got cut now for somebody else's arrest though.

Yup, he was on borrowed time as soon as they drafted Switzer...

While i agree with your assessment, i wouldnt want to be cut in that manner if it was me. The whole situation smells of bad judgement. If he was that bad of a player and team mate, man up, cut him and tell him why. Not beat around the bush and not leave some to speculate the real reason for him getting released.
IDK, maybe i just expect too much honesty from these folks
