Bow Glue Up Question

Have any of you bowyers ever thought about gluing a bow up using the original (orange label) gorilla glue.

The stuff expands like crazy, so I figure it would impregnate well into the pores of the material, is very flexible after cure, and holds like a steel weld. What ya think?

I'm the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kinda guy. Never had a reason to use anything other than smooth on.
But sounds like it might just work. If you try it let us know what the results are

I'm in the same boat as Randy on that one as far as the "if it ain't broke don't fix" it goes. I'm not sure if the material in the bow and the glue would flex enough to not make the bow go boom...

I'm definitely not a bowyer, I have used the original Gorilla glue for other situations. MY concern would be how the heck would you get even pressure, tight enough throughout the limb that would not let the glue spread the joint or bubble in any spot?

A friend of mine just reminded me it is heat reversible, so that rules it out for me. I should have thought of that, since it is the glue I use for insert, outserts, and for installing glue on points to wood shafts.

It works great for that application. I've never had any of the above come loose since I started using it.

I have used gorilla glue to repair small delaminations at the tip with good success. It makes a mess but sands off easily. I was thinking about suggesting it for the tip damage on the bow on leatherwall.
