Finally pulled the trigger on a rifle from APR. Have always been intrigued boy the 280 AI so i picked it. Called and emailed with Jason a few times and bounced ideas off of him and took some recommendations from him as well.
Wanted something not super lightweight but not real heavy either. Went with the Maverick but upgraded to the Bartlein cut at 25". Went with Sniper gray and the gray and black webbing grayboe. Jason said they hadn't done one in that exact color scheme yet. And man do i think it turned out sweet. Also went with ratchet fluting on the barrel and spiral on the bolt body and knob.
haven't shot it very much yet. Mounted scope the first day. Got it on paper the 2nd day then it sat in the safe for a month or so while we were moving. Finally took it out and checked zero and shot this group with factory nosler 140 gr accubonds. First 3 shots out of a squeaky clean barrel with no foulers. I think I can work with that once i start loading for it.
