Missing 19 year old San Luis Pass

Didn't see this on here, prayers for this young man and his family. It is a very dangerous place..

The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Coast Guard and officials with Texas Parks and Wildlife are searching for a missing fisherman in San Luis Pass.

        Dang hate to hear this

Having fished this exact spot I know how strong the current is... toss your lure far out and it's back at your feet in less than 2 seconds...if u cant even stand up without water knocking u over

This is really sad. I am not a fisherman, but isn't the same place people keep coming up missing or drowning? Since they are wading is it not possible to wear some type of pfd or life jacket? Just serious questions , not being critical. It hurts my heart to think of losing my son or anyone else losing a son or brother

Yes it seems a few people drown at the Pass every year. There are signs all over the beach warning of the dangerous currents. I have fished here for 40+ years but am always wearing a life vest. Sad deal for the friends and family of this young man.
