    Corn Feeder Capacities

How far off have you experienced the listed capacity vs. actual capacity of feeders?

Not very far off at all. Unless it's the 55 gallon type and they were not counting a funnel

I'm talking more like your custom bins by both the big name guys and smaller shop operations.

My 600lb Bighorns both hold 12 bags so pretty spot on.

If I bought a feeder that said 300 pound capacity and it only held 275 I'd be getting a refund.

I have 2 Lamco low and throw feeders. They are dead on with what they say it will hold.

                What if a 600lber held 575 or an 800lber held 775?..

corn capacity is different than protein capacity and a lot of feeders are listed as corn capacity.

I was talking big capacity. Who uses 300 lb feeders anymore???

Do you go back and pay extra if it ends up holding 25lbs extra?

Most of the new ones I have purchased lately have held a little more corn weight than advertised.

Protein normally it will hold less.

The ones that are a little short probably really hold the right capacity if the corn is pushed into the corners/sides and packed in.

                          Oh well that's ok
I was using a small number so even the East Texas hunters could understand
