    2017 LSBA Banquet

June 24 2017 is the set date for the LSBA banquet this year in Grapevine Texas. Lots of items up for auction and we are having a single drawing for an Ultimate Bowhunters Package. It will consist of pretty much everything you could possibly need to get in the woods and start hunting.

There is a waterpark at the banquet location for the kids, or kids at heart to play in, and I believe they are setting up a wine tasting deal also for all you folks that like something a step above MD 20/20 or Thunderbird.

Looking forward to meeting a lot new people this year.

These always seem to fall on weekends that my daughter has a rodeo or I have to work.

We have been collecting donations for the raffle and auction items for a few months now. Currently we have 17 hunts that will be in the raffle or auction. They range from a 1 day/1 person hog hunt, to an 8 day South Africa or Mozambique hunt. There are whitetail hunts, hog hunts, exotic hunts, a dove hunt, a duck/goose hunt, and several out of country hunts. In addition to the hunts, there will be quite a few other items being raffled or auctioned.
As Sean mentioned, there will also be other activities throughout the day to include:
Free passes to an on-site water park
A wine tour/luncheon for the ladies
                  A pop-up 3D shoot
                  Seminars
                  Vendors
                  The banquet itself will include:
                  A good dinner from Babe's
Guest speaker Dale Moses (retired Game Warden and accomplished bow hunter)
Hall of Fame Inductees Brian & Debbie Keeling
                  TBBR Awards
and, of course, the Raffle and Auctions
Banquet ticket prices are posted on the LSBA web site at www.lonestarbowhunter.com.
Active Duty Military and Military Veterans are FREE, as are kids under 12 years old
We have rooms blocked at a couple local hotels at discounted rates. You have to ask for the LSBA rates. That info is on the web site as well.
Hope to see some of you there. I will be busy, the whole time, but please introduce yourself to me and let me know you are a TBH member.
For those of you who do not know me, I am Steve Shedd and am the president of the LSBA.
Come and join us; it will be a good event to attend.

I have it correct everywhere else. I guess I just had a lapse while typing this up. Sorry Bryan.

Looking forward to it! I cannot wait to sling some arrows at the Pop-up shoot!

This is LSBA's largest fundraiser of the year and a great time for bowhunters to get together and tell stories. Lots of great affordable hunts.

A successful Banquet will help the LSBA continue to promote and preserve bowhunting in Texas. We are hoping to add an additional NASP equipment to donation next year.

I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the Hall of Fame than Bryan and Debbie! Congrats to the Keelings!

I bet Dale has some great stories to tell.

The REC center is going to have Archery Tag set up also.

Operation Game Thief will have their trailer there.

The Kana Clan should be in early Friday, anyone up for a GTG Friday evening?
