Which Factory / BOLT Rifle *** THREADED 308

I have a ton of 308 ammo but no longer own a 308. I have a 30 cal can on order.

What's the recommended, off the shelf available rifle?

Savage Hog Hunter
Savage 10 Tactical
REM AAC ?
REM SPS
Ruger American Predator
TC Compass

What else am I missing?

I have the ACC-SD and it is nice. Stock is a little weak for my preferences so I replaced it. But even with the factory stock and factory trigger I was able to shoot sub .5 moa. Only modification at that time was that I epoxy bedded the recoil lug.

I vote for the Savage 10T or Savage 10 FCP-SR. Both will shoot sub moa with the right factory ammo and 1/2" or better with hand loads.

I never have been a fan of Remmys.

I have the remaac but ditched the rubber stock & bedded it in an HS police...it is sub moa with factory, but agree on the 5r.

If you can scratch up the jack, it is a great gun...

If 5R is on your list buy it. If not the Ruger Predator is hard to beat.

Yup, the Savage 10, Tikka and AAC would all be great for ya.. I'll have that Savage 10 one day with McMillan stock. I think CZ has a top notch 308 too

I just checked these out. "Wee" bit more than what I'm wanting to spend, especially for the lack of use it will probably see. I picked up a REM in 300 blackout for my daughter a month ago. Finally scoped it and took it out last weekend. It was sub moa with fiocchi ammo and no tweaking.
May want it's bigger brother??

If you don't want to spend 5r money then I would say the rem 700 AAC. That's what I have a love it. Swapped the stock out with a b&c and bedded it and added a timney and I love it. Will shoot better than I can.
