Anybody catching sand bass up in creeks yet?

Thinking of taking the kids to hit the creek this afternoon in DFW. I figure with the warm water they may be moving already. Anyone?

Males have already been running for a couple weeks.

Fished Pilot and Sister Grove above Lavon early this week and had nothing. I wasnt very close to the lake but they should be in there very soon.

Males have been running for a few weeks, females started showing up after the rains early this week around my area. Hybrids are starting to show too

Well, my 10 year old and I beat the water up in our normal sandie spot and only caught one little crappie. Didn't seem to be here yet-at least not up this far
