Does anyone here work for the NRCS? I am graduating in May and looking everywhere for a job. I am hoping that my major in range and wildlife management with a minor in plant and soil science will give me an edge when I apply there soon. If there is anyone working there, are they hiring a lot of people these days? My soon to be wife and I are willing to move anywhere in Texas if needed.

If we continue to hire you will be placed somewhere as a trainee GS 5/7 then after a year you will be relocated as a 9 planner.. I recommend you go on USA jobs and pull an entry level posting as either a soil con or range con and look at qualifications.. If there is Anything you want to know feel free to message me and I'll give you my number..from what I was told here recently.. With the change in administrations we will be put on a hiring freeze so I'd get your stuff in and apply asap. No you don't have to do recent graduate you just have to meet qualifications.
