    "Traditional" Forum!

I don't know how to do this without just coming out and doing it, so here goes!

This forum is the Traditional Forum of Texasbowhunter.com. It was set up so the trad folks could have a place to come to talk all things traditional. I know there are a bunch of new folks around, and I don't want to take anything away from anyones kills, BUT.........

There is another forum for rifle and crossbow kills here on TBH. It seems that the trad forum is getting flooded with non-trad kills and hunts. I won't knock anyones kill with any weapon, and I congratulate everyone on their hunting success!

That being said, it seems to me that we should really get the traditional forum back on track a bit.

Anyway, like I said, CONGRATS on all your successes!

I just looked through the first two pages of the trad sub forum and didn't see anything non-trad except for one crossbow kill (probably accidental). What am I missing?

Did you read all the threads??? I'm not pointing fingers at anyone. Just see a recent trend happening.

          X2 on what Bisch said.

I've been trying to think of a way to say it without causing a bunch of hurt feelings, but couldn't come up with one. Bisch did a good job of it.

I don't have ANYTHING against other forms of hunting/bowhunting, but I'm seldom interested in any of them outside of traditional, and when I am I go to a forum and/or site that specifies them.

Yeah, If you scroll through with Tapatalk, you see a bunch of threads with pics of guns, bolts, and compounds. Hell, I have contributed to that when I had covered my son's hunt on my live thread. You bet I second guessed starting a new thread in ATC instead, but didn't cause I brought my bow and I was lazy. Who knew he'd lay em down and the action would be that high.

A while back I commented on a separate thread that the trad forum shouldn't die and get lumped in the ATC as was being considered. And I stick by that. Trad hunting is a unique challenge, and while we are a pretty tight knit family over here, there is nothing wrong with posting in the ATC or other forums as well. For instance... I post my live processing threads in the Recipe forum.

I for one want to see everybody's accomplishments but don't mind looking for them in the other forums too

            Thanks for the reminder Jerry.

is this a Traditional Belly Achin'?...hahaha JK...I agree, I wanna hear about the stick and string stuff, not the boom stick or how to drive a Suzuki samari with a long bow and handgun stuffed in your pocket. I wanna hear about trad target shooting' and more recently I seen someone asking' about what tips for stumping...that's interesting info...JM2centavos

Sometimes people will post something on this forum by accident, not realizing where they are but that doesn't happen very often.
When I was editor of the TBoT newsletter I put in a pic of a compound kill one time and never heard the end of it lol,

I do enjoy having a trad only place to hang out. It's nice to keep it that way.

My apologies fellas. First kills and I prefer this group. I will not post anymore. Feelings are not hurt. I felt a little awkward posting here too.

I agree. There was a thread about rifle kills on the ATC. I understand the sentiment but the ptb decided to take away the sections focused on archery tech and kills. This section should stay traditional or it will get lost in the mess that is the ATC forum.

I was not picking on you. There has been several rifle and other kills posted here. I do not want you (or anyone) to leave or not feel welcome here. I just want for this forum to stay traditional focused, and not get swamped with a bunch of non traditional stuff!

I'm guilty too. I started a live thread with a bunch of hunts, and posted 2 does I shot with a rifle in the same thread. But my feelings aren't hurt so no worries. I just kept the thread updated and had some rifle hunts mixed in. But I agree with Bisch, the trad forum isn't really the place for non trad kills.
