    Full Glove Release

    Hi Y'all,

I haven't spent a lot of time looking for one, but just curious if anyone makes a full shooting glove? If so, any comments on one? I just got back from 18 days in Colorado. The first week, I hunted with my recurve. I learned that the typical 3-finger glove can be quite chilly.

I fell back to the compound after a week of hard hunting and only one elk sighting. Now that I'm back home, the compound has gone back in the case and I'm a sworn traditionalist from now to the end of season.

    Thanks for the feedback,

I use a Dura-Glove from Three Rivers. When it is just a little chilly - and I am in a stand - I wear a "muff" around my waist with a hand warmer in it. When it is really cold I wear a mitten - one of those you can fold back to expose your fingers.

These, from Lancaster Archery, work fairly well: http://www.lancasterarchery.com/lega...ullDescription

The Fitgeralds wear the mechanic gloves you can buy at walmart. I have some insulated ones and they seem to work

I wear a cotten glove with the first three fingers cut off (I shoot a tab). I also have a hand warmer/muff like quarterbacks use that goes around my waist.

Elk skin work glove purchased at All American Fence company. Soft and slickish. Ive been looking for a way to harden the finger tip leather. Ive used beeswax...but makes it tacky. Ive used water and sun dried, but it only lasts for a short while. The seams are less than ideal but workable.

Id like to find a dura-material full glove.

Pick up a bottle of benzoin from a saddle shop, leather shop, or any rodeo equipment retailer. 10$. Roughstock guys use it on gloves to make them last longer. Apply it once a day til you have your desired toughness

I use mechanics gloves with a tab. You get good protection with a slick release.

I have practiced many times with a leather carpenters type glove and it was fine.
Also ( like mentioned ) mechanic gloves are good as well and a three finger will slip over them. Another idea would be to cut the three fingers off a winter glove
