Building protein feeder, which style head?

Going to build me a protein feeder based on 55gal barrel

What is the best option for for the head?

    Boss buck.?

    American hunter products?

Looking for the best option to get them eating out of first but interested in best bet for least waste also

Will be planning to have this up and running by late season unless there is a reason to get it going now

They have the feeder funnels at academy for like 30 bucks!

Work just as good as all the others, and half the price!

Krivoman related that the longer tubes are a source of problems. That is why he set up the timed one with shower tubes
I have had good luck with boss buck feeder.

I can't say enough good things about my Krivoman feeder with The Hammer timed protein head. "Hammer63" posts here and he invented the timed protein head. You can use the timer to close the head at night so no waste to coons and you can ration the protein if you like to meet your budget or time. It has made my feeding management much more enjoyable. Hammer63 sells timed lowers with All Seasons heads, etc. already attached:

If I can get them to eat protein I might just buy one of those.

No need to go all in on something, these deer around here are finicky

I've sold many conversions for All Seasons and Boss Buck feeders. Nothing against Boss Buck, but IMO, it's over-priced plastic that has oddball dimensions. Stay with metal for the long haul...IMO
