    Is political change needed? Feinstein

The US has entered into an exclusive contract with a real estate firm to sell 56 buildings that currently house U.S. Post Offices.

The sale of these properties will fetch about $19 billion.

A regular real estate commission will be paid to that company.

    That company is CRI

CRI will be making a minimum of 3% and as much as 6% commission on each and every sale.

CRI belongs to a man named Richard Blum.

Richard Blum is the husband of Senator Dianne Feinstein

Senator Feinstein and her husband stand to make a fortune from these transactions. (EST at between $950 million and $1.1 billion!!)

How does a U.S. Senator from San Francisco manage to get away with organizing and lobbying such a sweet deal?

Has our government become so elitist that they have no fear of oversight? Isn't this a cousin to insider trading?

    Verified it on Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/blum.asp ; http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors...m#.Ulls5Nvn-vE

It's gone way to far. Happened in most small cities all the time. School districts also. A honest company can't get ISD, city, county, or federal work anymore unless they pay someone off.

There needs to be a purge. You can take that nicely and go to the voting box like a good boy or take it another way. Makes me sick.

She is known for that. She has given her husband so many contracts worth billions of dollars over the years. By congress by laws a member only has to disclose up to 1 million dollars of a spouses net worth as their own so she and others just keep feeding the money to the spouse.

Heres more on them to get your blood boiling. Pigs in the farmhouse you in the barn!

It is sickening. Don't let yourself be fooled into believing that it's a problem confined to one party though. They've all got their hands in the basket! I'm not sure if I'll ever vote for another incumbent again.

I don't get how 56 properties can be worth 19 billion since that would be a average of over 339 million each. The rest of it is BS.

Exactly what I was thinking. I can't imagine that there are many $340MM post offices....much less 56 of them. That number has to be complete BS.

I don't doubt that there were some backoffice deals going on, but somebody has to sell properties and CBRE Group is one of the largest commercial real estate companies in the country.

Who is going to buy these properties that seem extremely over priced? Could this go even deeper than what we actually know? Could this be a blatant fleecing of the American people?

First, as others noted........price seems incredible but either way it is a sad state of affairs. Also, it is on BOTH sides but she aint as slick as others I guess!!!

The post office in Houston was 17 acres, in downtown and sold for close to $75M (round numbers). There is another on Timmons and a few in Greenway, all high dollar areas of town. If these properties were on they east or west coast they would easily be double that.
