    Good stuff!

If the participants really wanted to make progress forward in the community the blm shouldn't be mentioned anywhere in their community efforts. The blm participants have stated and proven what they stand for with the bodies left behind and effected families(people of all colors). They do not want peace just violence. Now stating All Lives Matter is different.

I am not sure the deceased police officers families would think interaction in any manner blm related would be positive but I can't speak for them.

Sounds like a community that is moving away from the BLM movement to me. 100 percent positive BLM HQ is not happy about this. Article should be called BLM group disbands and joins officers for BBQ.

I would hope this is the case as you have quoted and several other communities follow their example!!

Bravo for this community!! IMO, the victories will be won at these local level where sincerity for healing is genuine. These sort of stories will be the building blocks & also be our proof if political motives are the opposite from what we have here.

Baby steps I guess...I would be really encouraged to see a formal statement from the national leaders of BLM commenting on the greatness of this & making plans for more across the country.

I'm trying to be positive but I fear crickets from blm nationally simply because of the previous actions & what I truly believe those in charge are doing (and not doing). Nothing would make me happier than to eat crow & say I was wrong.

I'm going to approach My rotary club and see about doing something like this here in Burnet.
