    Rubio Delegates to Cruz

Seems like he asked them to vote for the conservative, but still trying to save face.

Despite Rubio's half-hearted endorsement of the Texas senator, he has not completely withdrawn from the race. By suspending his campaign, the delegates he collected during the primary will still be bound to him on the first ballot of an open convention
After the first vote, this doesnt mean much.

Think it'll come down to a match up of Cruz-Rubio, Trump-Kasich at an open convention?
I've lost track but it seems like a Trump-Kasich ticket would be really close to the 1237 mark.

Rubio is saying he doesnt want a VP spot, so unlikely. Fiorina seems to be all over Cruz's campaign at the moment, so that makes her more of a choice.

Kasich is saying no to VP as well. Christie and Carson would be good choices, but Trump doesnt seem interested in them like that.

They all say they don't want a spot until they do.
In this political season I wouldn't be surprised at anything

Rubio doesn't have to officially endorse Cruz. All he has to do is keep his delegates tied up during the first ballot. No one will get 1237 and it goes to a second ballot where most delegates are free to vote for whom they wish. This where Cruz's ground game that Trump has been whining about lately will pay off as he wins easily on the second ballot.

I wouldn't say easily but odds of this happening are pretty good. Some delegates will push for Kasich because the polls show him having the best chance against Hillary. Cruz needs to make his case that he will win in November.

This is a big deal. If Rubio doesn't release his delegates, they can't vote for Trump on the 1st ballot, though not many were likely to anyway. On the 2nd ballot, they will largely go to Cruz. Cruz would probably be close to winning on the 2nd ballot, but not all states release their Bound delegates on the 2nd ballot, some don't release until the 3rd ballot, and a few don't release until the 4th. By the 3rd ballot, I'd be very surprised if Cruz doesn't surpass 1,237.

That's my prediction. I think it's all but over ... except for the inevitable whining and gnashing of teeth.

and delegates are loyal to the party more than a candidate at that point. scary notion.

Cruz needs to talk to McCain about running mates. Palin as a failed Governor brought down McCain, and Fiorina a disgraced business failure will bring down Cruz.......
