I have the chance to go on a turkey hunt this season and never actually hunted for them before. I am taking only my recurve to hunt with. That being said, I usually hunt with a zwickey eskimo 2 blade. For anyone with experience where is good shot placement and should I use a different broadhead?

Zwickey makes some good heads for all game but you also should look into the Simmons Shark line of broadheads. The treeshark is a fixed 2" concave design that is lethal on game and really works a turkey over. When sharpened correctly they are devastating. The Tiger shark is my #1 ELK/Whitetail head.

I forgot shot placement, Turkeys can be more difficult to take then one might think with a bow. I began trying to type up something but I found it's hard to describe the broadside shot so I would Google Turkey shot anatomy for the best pictures. The strutting away "Heartshot" rectum shot. is a great one and as always the head shot. Aim small Miss small the vitals are not that big.
