I was really really looking forward to shooting my new to me longbow tomorrow.
I'm not sure if I can at work today we was unloading some 40' long 24" diameter pipe. I had to go to Lowes and load 16 - 6x6x8 timbers from the shelf to the cart, cart to the truck, truck to the ground, than carry them to where they're needed...
Got 16 - 4x4x8 timbers at byte same time. Only these I had to put between the layers.
After lunch went and got 20 more.
I was bummed but enjoying the workout, my longbows 70#.
Well about 3pm we was just finishing up, I was hot, thirsty and gassed. I grabbed 2 of the 4x4's to put between the last of the pipe. I carried it on my shoulder I set the end of the first one on the ground holding it with my left 4xt2QdhDY)! Than I shucked the second off of my shoulder. Well it hit the pipe bounced up and pinched left thumb between the toe boards. I felt it! I didn't look at it, I did flex my thumb, it moves fine. I finished placing the two boards, helped the operator put the last two joints on he stack. I went to the break room freezer and grabbed some ice. I looked at it. It's swollen in the webbing between my thumb and index finger back to where the thumb bone and index finger come together at the wrist.
Everything moves :thumbup; it's sore and hurts if I flex it...,,
Coulda been worser! I'm thankful it's not !!!
My necks got a link it as well..,,
