how to repair feeder timer

I have a moultrie feeder with the photocell. It works when you hook up the battery, but the eye does not work (I am guessing). Does anyone know how I could repair or modify this timer? It is 9 years old, but I used it only 1 season.

If the motor still works, go to Academy and buy one of the Remington replacement timers. It has two wires that connect to the motor and two wires that connect to the battery. Just like that, you have a reliable timer. Out of 10 feeders (all different brands), I only have one that is not set up this way.
