    Kawasaki Prairie 360-Revamp. PICTURE HEAVY

I received this 4-wheeler a little over 2 years ago and have never had enough time to put any major work into it. It ran decently after some minor work, but i knew it could use some more engine and body work. The red body had faded from being left in the sun and was an eye sore.I had tried painting the body last year with a roll on bed-liner product but it only looked good for a short time after it was done. It started to flake as soon as the body flexed at all.I used it this year for hunting and quickly realized it could also use some new lighting, as the factory headlights were terrible and didn't light more than 10 yards in front of me on the trails.

I finally found time to start this project about 2 weeks ago, and so far it gone well.

This is what i started with a couple years ago. Lots of dirt dobber mounds, didnt run and had 4 bad tires.

First step was removing the plastics to access the engine and removing the old bed-liner paint which was a PITA.

Afrter getting the plastics cleaned and prepped, i went back over them with Plasti-dip, which worked way better than i expected. The plasti-dip filled in scratches and dried very clean and smooth and flexes with the body.

the same day my LED lights came in and i began working on those. I decided to mount everything to the bumper and i was happy with how it came out. I added two 4'' flood lights on the L+R and one 7'' spot bar in the center.

I also decided to try some fender well lights for looks and for the trail rides, when you need ground visibility as night when navigating tight trails. This has been my favorite addition so far.

I also re-wrapped the exhaust to keep the heat off of my calve. It used to burn the crude out of me. This was probably my least favorite job so far.

I decided to run all lights and winch through one switch panel with a cigarette lighter port for the spot light. (this was during mock-up)

I decided to run all lights into plugs, so i can easily unplug them when i have to remove the plastics or front bumper to save time and frustration.

As far as engine work goes i adjusted the valves, cleaned and rebuilt the carb, new spark plug and fluids, replaced some corroded connections and went through all connections with Di-Electric grease. The wheeler is running way better than it did before. I've also added new rims, a 2'' lift.

I am starting to button things back up, but its a slow process. Ill post more pictures as i make more progress.

Only parts I'm looking to add later are 26'' tires, a speedometer(if someone has one there looking to sell. please let me know), possibly an HMF exhaust, and possibly reverse light.

    Looking good so far!

I'm curious as to how well the plasti dip paint will hold up to scratching.

i had the same thought, but from what i read online after about 5 coats it will hold up to a pressure washer and normal trail abuse. Touch ups are easy too!

About 90% percent done. Just waiting on rear splash fenders, seat cover, and bow holder for front rack.

So far I've been happy with progress. I also wired my radiator fan into a switch so i can have it running all the time, great upgrade for riding in Texas during the summer.

Do you have an update on the build? I am actually doing the exact same thing to a 03' Prairie 360. Im currently buying parts to fix it up.

Do you mind me asking where you bought the LED Lights (love the well lights) and Switch panel?

How many cans of Plasti Dip did you buy to do the quad?

What winch did you fit on and who made the mounting plate?

Do you have aftermarket shocks or just springs?

            Thank you for the help!

I just realized I never posted updated pictures. This is after the new tires were put on. Still no seat cover or bow racks in these pictures.

Looks good with those tires, high centering shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah I am really glad i went with 26''. I was considering 27'' at one point, but I am almost certain they would have rubbed even with my wheel spacers and lift. Plus with the 26'' i don't lose as much top end speed and don't need a clutch kit. Its riding right where i want it right now.

That looks really good. The duplicolor will flake and you don't want to pressure wash it. The good news is, you can scuff the edges and put on a new coat of duplicolor for $5.

I need to put some LEDs on my Mule.
