Suggestions on judging axis, blackbuck and aoudad

Going on my second exotic hunt, first did not see any exotic. Booked at Timberlake Ranch this time. But not sure where on net to find good pics to study to be able to judge the animals roughly.
    Thank Yall

Looking at pictures and seeing them in person is a whole different ballgame. Is this hunt guided?

Let me say this you are going on a gamble Hunt, what I mean is you are paying up front Kill or not. Nothing wrong with that I have hunted that ranch several times when it was the Quarto B and many others like it, all good ranches with plenty of game. These type of places do not offer a opportunity at every sit so I would take the first opportunity that presents itself.

              Yes, this!

Now, if you were going to the type of place you pay according to the trophy, then I'd worry about scoring.

After unsuccessfully hunting blackbuck with my recurve several times this is an easy one for me to answer. If any blackbuck is within bow range, it is a shooter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^ this, I went on an Axis hunt and the first morning I had what I thought would be a good buck walk out, but didn't shoot because I wasn't 100% sure. after getting back to the camp and explaining the size, I was told I should have shot. I didn't see another one the entire trip. Good luck to you.

Above comments all have merit but just to give a little guidance -

Blackbuck - count the curls. 3 full curls is minimum, 5 full curls is a real trophy, rifle or bow. I've got a 3 curl buck on the wall.

Axis - 30"+ main beams is pretty good. I think the world record is 39". Also look for symmetry. I've got a 31" buck on the wall.

Aoudad - first make sure it is a male - the females have horns that can approach the size of a young male. Then look to see how close the horns sweep back to the sheep's back - closer the better. Some also consider how much space is between the horns at the boss (where they attach to the skull) - the less space the better.

Thank you, am booked Apr 11th, am the only hunter now. This exotic is new to me, have hunted elk, whitetail, muleys and pronghorn extensively. But now stuck in Houston have to try something different.

I have rugs, pillows, and bar stool covered in axis. They all look really good. Not too hard to do yourself either.
