This morning I decided to roll out of bed early and go hit a spot I recently found on the way to work. An advantage to working out of a service truck and driving all over the Hill Country means I get to come across some prime new photo locations. When I arrived I was lucky to find mostly still waters to allow for the reflection of the newly arriving fall colors. We certainly don't get the fall colors like the NE but we get our fair share of beauty if you look hard enough, especially on the creek and river bottoms. The scene was beautiful as it was, but as luck would have it, this young 8 point stepped into the scene and posed for me. I was set up for longer exposure so I had to rush to adjust the settings to get a couple of decent ones of him crossing the creek. Sometimes a little luck is required to complete a scene!
