    tamales yum

Well Linda spent about 15 hours at my sisters house yesterday for their annual tamalata. Bunch of women get together for a day of fun and tamale making. This batch turned out great. Best in 5 years. She brought 6 doz home. Probably wont last long.

It’s a lot of work to make a batch of tamales, but worth it. Christmas was the time my relatives made them and I do every 2 years or so. Have any of you'll had desert ones?

Add some cabbage and refried beans to that and you could be a weapon of mass destruction!

When we lived in Brownsville,we could get pork and raisen ones around the holidays. Do those qualify as desert?

There are some foods that my mouth likes but my stomach doesn't.

Dessert tamales are sweet even the masa is sweet. The filling is similar to fruit pies. Its been too many years since I've had any and I was young. Not even sure what part of Mexico the lady was that made them, I understood its common in some areas. OOPS not desert but dessert if desert ones do exist they must be dry or sandy.

They used pork and ancho chillies. Hope I spelled that right
