    Disk for Polaris Ranger?

Have a 2014 Ranger 800 and looking at buying a disk under $1000 for next season to do some small food plots.

I realize I may have to add weight so it disks deep.

What is the best out there?

    Thanks

i'm having good luck with the "ground hog"
attaches to your receiver hitch and uses the weight of the ranger
    around $300

I bought this and was pleasantly surprised with the results. We have some ground with a few rocks mixed in and it turned the ground over pretty good. I paid around $350. It is a spring tooth plow.

This doesnt look like it will be an even disc. In terms of equally discing all areas behind the machine

It worked great for me. Our plots are up and doing well.

Whatever you choose make sure it connects to your Ranger through a hitch ball so if the disc hits a rock or log it will pivot up. I have seen photos on some of the ATV forums where people using a disc that connects to the UTV using a drawbar instead of a hitch ball have destroyed their receiver hitch and damaged the frame when they ran over something that the disc would not cut. The entire weight of the rear end of the UTV (approx 600#) was supported by the disc through the receiver hitch.

Biologic disc that bass pro shop sells. I have had mine for years and puts in on heck of a plot every year!

Seems like those would burn the engine up with all the load.

I have a 800 and use the GH Max in my 2" receiver. Haven't had any issues. The way it's built there's play as well adjustability. I do see the issue of rocks and large sticks. Makes sense as if being high centered. Good points.

Great info guys and YES I planned on buying one that attaches to my reciever.

Don't have any rocks as its a sandy bottom

i bought a tuffline atv disc from a member of this site a couple months back... best deal i've gotten by far on this forum! that being said, it works amazing. it's heavy, which is important. you can adjust the depth easily, and it pulls very easy behind my kawasaki teryx4. search my name and there's pics of the results on here.
