Congrats John. I haven't shot my recurve in 3+ years. Not to mention that I could barely hit a target then. But, I guess I better get busy. Can you shoot a recurve 20 yards from 30' up?

Absolutely you can. But it helps if you're only 15' up like I usually am.

I could probably do it, with plenty of practice. I may have to cheat a bit and put a sight pin on my recurve just so I can have a reference point until I get the hang of it. I'll try and get some arrows made up too. I'm sure they won't be spined properly. But hopefully they will fly true enough. I think I have some stinger broad heads around ( but they are 85gr) Will those work or are they too light?

Ha, ha. Yes, it is. But the decision to take that bow and those arrows to the woods the other day wasn't one I made lightly either.

You just need to come see me and I'll get you all set up. I promise after an hour with me, you'll be much, much more comfortable hunting with a recurve.

All you need is to be able to get one inside of 15 yards, and I know you can do that part.
