    Rocksprings bucks/exotics

Decent antelope. We had a pretty nice one hanging around last year that we let walk on more than one occassion. We'll do the same with this guy until his coat darkens up. He may move on and get shot by a neighbor, but I just don't want to mount a blackbuck that's still reddish unless he had monster horns.

I've had pics of this guy off and on since march. Not the biggest around, but nice to look at. Would be tempting with a bow in hand, but I've got a bigger rifle kill on the wall already and mostly look for does to shoot now, unless I can find one that's bigger than what I've got mouted.

Dos amigos. They are rarely at this feeder not together. That'll likely change when they rub out. I'm leaning more towards them being 5 year olds.

Potential management deer needing to be taken? Looks too old and in too good of body condition to have such little antler.

One more pic of the blackbuck.

Looks no older than 4 here all stretched out. Looks five in the next. Summer bucks...

Little doubt in my mind that his running buddy is at least five.

Different 8 than the previous two posted. They were at a different feeder the same time pics of this guy were taken.

The better of the two amigos, close to being finished out. I'll be looking for him in the fall with my bow. If I can't stick him, someone that would be happier with him can take him with a rifle.

The rut will bring in a few more mature deer. It always does hunting relatively small acreage. We're going to shoot off a handful of doe fawns and yearlings this season in efforts to produce a bigger fawn crop next year by letting older twin producing does walk. The more buck fawns we can put on the ground each year, the more we can recruit to maturity. MLD sure is nice to have.

Our crop of three year olds is almost non-existant with the 2011 drought being so brutal at our place. We didn't have a drop of rain for six months that year. None of our two year olds or yearling looked like anything to get excited about just yet, so didn't post any pics of our younger deer.

The dos amigos.. The one buck looks a year older than the other.

I keep flip flopping on buck with the funky brows. Would love to see them both in person, take some better pics. Hopefully that will happen when we start our blind counts in a couple weeks.

1st week of December is the time to be there. No telling what you'll see when the rut is in full swing.
